The Foundation of the Hellenic World participated in the cultural and archaeological exhibition "Athens, Living History", which took place in the Library of Shanghai from the 10th to the 22nd of June 2010.

The exhibition was organised by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and aimed at the promotion of the ancient and modern Athens, as well as its architecture and urban development, but also the way that monuments are incorporated in our everyday life. The visitors had the opportunity to learn about the Ancient Agora of Athens in the Classical, Hellenistic and Roman Periods, through the programme with the same name that is shown at the "Virtual Cinema". In this programme we used technologies for stereoscopic projection (what in cinema is called 3D) and Virtual Reality technologies.

During the exhibition the Foundation's kiosk continuously received visitors, who seemed excited about the use of new technologies and the presentation and promotion of Hellenic cultural heritage. Furthermore, they could not hide their admiration for ancient Hellenic culture, while there was intense interest in the Virtual Reality technology among the younger visitors.

In conclusion, it is worth pointing out that the Foundation, in the framework of the international collaborations for the production of cultural products of high technology, has already started from the Cultural Year of Greece in China (2008) to collaborate with the Shanghai Association for Science and Technology for a series of co-productions.
