The Cultural Portal of the Aegean Archipelago, the Internet site that was designed and implemented by FHW in collaboration with the Ministry of Mercantile Marine, the Aegean and Island Policy, was presented on the 7th of December in Mitilini at the Chamber of Commerce of Lesvos. The event, which proved highly successful, attended the Minister of Mercantile Marine, the Aegean and Island Policy Mr. Asistotelis Pavlidis and FHW’s Managing Director, Mr. Dimitris Efraimoglou.

The Minister, among other, said: “This effort of ours and our collaboration with FHW aims at promoting the cultural heritage of Greece all over the world without natural presence. Through this programme everyone has the opportunity to learn about our ancestors. It constitutes an exceptional promotion of the Aegean and of the Greek islands throughout the world through the use of new technologies”. In his turn, Mr. Efraimoglou pointed out that “it is an encyclopedia of the Aegean. We wish to have a web site on the Aegean, an easy portal where anyone who is interested can find any information he wants. We are very happy with the result, and now our objective is to expand it to include all areas where Greeks live”.

The project was also presented successfully on the islands of Rhodes and Siros.
