On August 29-31, 1997, an international Congress on "New Technologies in the Enhancement of Ancient Places of Performance", sponsored by the European Council and within the framework of the MINOTEC project, took place in Verona, Italy.

On August 31st, 1997, the president of the Foundation of the Hellenic World, Mr. Lazaros Efraimoglou, spoke of the aims and programmes of the Foundation while refering in detail to the high quality 3D animation presenting ancient theatre reconstructions created by the Foundation.

Following the President's speech, a short video with background music by Greek composer Stavros Xarhakos was shown. It consisted of a visual tour through the 3D digital reconstructions of the ancient Theatre of Miletus and the ancient Theatre at the Asklepieion of Epidaurus.

This presentation impressed the fellow congress members.
