September: The large offensive of the Greek army against Ankara fails.The Greek army
will remain in the line Eski Shehir-Kytahya-Afyon Karahisar.
1922
12 February: Publication of the "Democratic Manifesto" by Al. Papanastasiou and his six collaborators.
13 August: The Turkish offensive begins in the Greek front. Its direct split and withdrawal
towards the coast will ensue.
27 August: The Turkish army enters the city of Smyrna.
11 September: The "Revolution of 1922" breaks out in Chios.
