Argyropoulos, John: Writer and teacher of ancient Greek philosophy in Constantinople and Italy. He was a member of the Byzantine delegation at the Council of Ferrara-Florence and wrote Latin translations of Greek philosophical and theological works as well as rhetorical and theological works.
