Pediasimos John
Pediasimos, John (ca. 1250 - beginning of 14th century):
Teacher and writer, known also by the name of Pothos. After he had studied with Gregory of Cyprus, Manuel Holobolos and George Akropolites, he became hypatos ton philosophon. He also taught in Ohrid where he was a chartophylax around 1280 and wrote many works on mythological, syllogistical, geometrical, musical, astronomical and medical subjects.
