The temple of Zeus in Olympia The temple of Zeus has been reconstructed digitally with accuracy, in such a way that many of its architectural details are easily discernible. The visitors can admire Heracles' labors on the metopes and the famous pediments depicting the conflict between Lapiths and Centaurs. The digital model of the temple has been enriched with the surrounding area of ancient Altis, attempting to render, somewhat freely, the green landscape of Olympia and the Cronius hill that surrounded the temple. In the interior of the temple, there is the "virtual" representation of the famous statue of Zeus, the work of the sculptor Phidias, one of the Seven Wonders of the world, of which nothing remains today.
